PLAN YOUR MOVE
Calculate your moving estimate
Choose your move size, then adjust the crew and time to explore your one-day local moving cost.
Move size selects a starting scenario, not a promised duration. Adjust the hours for your inventory and access. Local moving has a 3-hour minimum; the truck is a separate daily charge.
Estimated moving cost
2 movers + truck · 3 hours
- Crew: 3 hours × $129/hr
- $387
- Truck: 1 day
- $129
Preliminary crew-and-truck estimate. Packing materials and special-item work, if needed, are quoted separately. Confirm your inventory, access and written estimate before booking.

A useful moving price starts with the work involved, not just the number of bedrooms. Surf Moving, LLC provides local moving services across Hallandale Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, Hollywood, North Miami Beach, North Miami and nearby South Florida communities. Tell us both addresses, your inventory and the access conditions so you can review an estimate for your own move.

Local moving rates
2 movers

Plus $129 per day for the truck.
3-hour minimum: $516 including the truck.
3 movers

3-hour minimum: $716 including the truck.
4 movers
$219/hour

3-hour minimum: $876 including the truck.
The hourly rate applies to the whole crew, not each mover. The calculator covers one moving day. Packing materials and special-item work, if needed, are quoted separately. Packing-only and labor-only requests need a separate estimate.
How local moving pricing works
For a local move, multiply the crew's hourly rate by the estimated hours, subject to the 3-hour minimum, and add the daily truck charge. For example, 2 movers for 4 hours is $516 in crew time plus $129 for the truck: $645. Confirm when billing starts and stops, travel arrangements and any additional services in the written estimate.
What changes the scope and estimated time?
- Crew size and inventory: list furniture, approximate box count, storage contents and items needing disassembly. A larger crew does not automatically mean a lower total; the scope and access matter.
- Travel and additional stops: provide pickup and delivery addresses, plus any storage stop. Ask whether drive time, travel to the first address, return travel, tolls or vehicle charges apply.
- Packing and materials: identify which rooms you will pack yourself and where you need help. Confirm the labor and materials included, and any items priced separately.
- Stairs, elevators and building rules: share floor numbers, elevator dimensions, permitted moving hours and reservation windows. Waiting for access can affect the plan; ask how waiting time is treated.
- Long carries and loading: describe the walking distance from the truck to the door, loading dock access, parking restrictions and clearance limits.
- Heavy or unusual items: describe the size, approximate weight and access route for oversized, fragile or unusually heavy pieces. Confirm acceptance and the handling plan before including them in the move.
These are estimate questions, not a list of automatic Surf Moving surcharges. Your written estimate should identify which conditions and charges apply to your move.
Condo paperwork and COI requests
Certificate of Insurance is available upon request. Send the building's current written requirements, submission deadline and management contact early. Ask whether any paperwork-related cost applies to your move; do not assume a fee or a free service from this page. Building deposits or reservation fees, if required by management, should be distinguished from the mover's charges.
Use our COI checklist and condo moving guide to prepare the access details.

- Travel, parking, waiting time and building-related conditions.
